Block Party
We had to make a block print something that meant a lot to us an I attempted to make an airplane flying over the world. Because my family is so stored out, or end up working outside our CPU try for months at a time being able to fly an meet them makes a lot to me. Here is the printmaker itself, later I will post the pint that it makes.
Book Pages
For one of our last project we had to decorate (basically paint over) four book pages. All of my pages were from The Shipping News by Annie Proulx a book filled with descriptions about water and this happening off the coast. For each page, I picked specific words I wanted to keep then painted over the rest.
For this picture I used pastels to create the tree, attempting to give it texture. The colors are supposed to be gradual and interesting. For this painting,I thought off the theme of water and went from there. Having gradual and clear paint gave the illusion of water and the jellyfish was fun to paint.
For this picture I was running out of time and ideas so it didn't turn out wry well. That's basically all I have to explain, it was supposed to be a blend of textures but it didn't really work.
I love stormy weather (the song and the weather) so decided to paint it. using regular paint to show my love or this kind of weather. For this I just went with the theme of water, and let the music be my inspiration.

Vanilla Side Portrait
Yes, you read that right, this is a vanilla portait. Vanilla as in boring, somewhat disappointing and plain. Don't get me wrong, I do love vanilla but when it comes to vanilla art it's not one of my favorite flavors, I know thats very punny.
Back on the focus of this post, this portrait is the companion to the facing forward portrait The are both not very good and are very light, not to mention both pictures are modeled after me.
If vanilla art, or kust plain vanilla, is up you alley just let me know. Or even if mint chocolate chip art, whatever that is, is your cup of tea it would be interesting to know.
Enjoy,

Radiant Room
We had to draw a one point perspective room and I choose to model my room after the kind of room I know best, the room of a teenage girl. To be honest it's not the most accurate room, but I tried to make it look as good as I could. If you haven't realized by now my art skills are lacking, and a time ran my frustration grew leading to this disaster.
I also tried to add some details to make the roopm look more realistic. In my bedroom I had a bulletin board filled with pictures and notes from my friends. Little quotes or tickets from concerts, so I attempted to replicate that. I think it came out okay.
Tell me if you agree with me that my picture is lacking in the look department. I doubt anyone will disagree but I am open to opinions.

When Polygons Attack
When we did this project, decorating the deck of a skateboard in marker, I decided to embrace my inner math nerd. I covered the board in geometric shapes; triangles, squares, diamond, pentagons, rectangles, rhombuses, trapezoids, parallelograms, circles and ovals. To add some excitement, and keep the board from looking boring, I added a cube in the contrasting color of everything else. Not only does the cube pop out because of the color, but the fact that's it's in 3D makes it pop out as well. To add some dimension I colored in some of the shapes, and the small dots that are scattered throughout the drawling.
Personally, I am very happy with the way it turned out. It might not be as exciting as some other drawings, but it came out exactly like I wanted it to. Could I have added more color? Yes, but that would have ruined the simplistic of the drawling and would have not a loud for the effect i wanted to create. For once, my vision actually came to reality. Tell me if ou think it came out well.

Portrait
In an attempt to learn how to draw people, we had to do a portrait of someone facing forwards. Me, being somewhat full of myself decide that it might be fun to draw myself. It was not fun. I didn't get to the point in which I wanted to kill myself, because I was the picture, as some other people wanted to do. However, I never go to the point where I thought I was doing myself justice. Maybe that's because I wasn't happy with the picture in general. The shading was to light, according to my teacher, and didn't give enough contrast nor give anything that was that interesting to look at.
Don't look to hard at the drawling and see if you can spot what I look like. It isn't very accurate, pencil doesn't do me justice, and I don't believe that you would be able to spot me from the picture. Not to mention it got kind of banged up. The picture makes it look distorted because, the drawling no longer lies flat. I would love to see what you think.
